M.Tech Structural Engineering is a two-year program. The program equips the students with conceptual understanding and advanced knowledge of the materials such as Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Timber and Composite structures; and areas related to Dynamics of earthquake engineering; Special structures – Bridges, Silos, Chimneys, Marine structures, Heavy-duty industrial structures; Foundation engineering, Structural analysis and computation; Repairs and restoration of structures.

Already the construction industry is the second largest employer in terms of the number of people working in this sector. Their work mainly deals with safety issues and technical, economic and ecological aspects. Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Structural Engineering
1. Students must have completed their Graduation such as a BE / B.Tech degree or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
2. The students should have scored at least 50% aggregate marks at their Bachelor's level.
3. Some very reputed universities and institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish admission notices on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
6. Documents like mark sheets, photographs, signatures and transfer certificates must be scanned and uploaded online to the portal.
7. All documents must be in a specific format and size only to be accepted.
There were different entrance tests that were conducted for admission in B.tech in Food Technology previously like AIEEE, NIT, IITJEE.
1. GATE: It is an All India Level entrance exam conducted once in a year by IITs and IIScs. This exam is conducted for those students seeking admission in postgraduate degree courses offered by top-notch colleges in India, like IIT, NIT etc.
2. TANCET: It is a state-level entrance exam conducted every year by Anna University, Chennai, for admission into various postgraduate degree programs in the fields of management, engineering, architecture and computer science.
